The Indian Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Endocrinology (ISPAE) aims to promote greater knowledge, research, education and clinical practice of pediatric endocrinology, metabolism and diabetes, especially as relevant to India. It also hopes to foster closer interaction among those working in this specialty, across the vast geographical expanse of India, so our patients can get better and more seamless care. It works with other important Societies, including the Indian Academy of Pediatrics, the Endocrine Society of India, the Asia Pacific Pediatric Endocrine Society, and the European Society for Pediatric Endocrinology.

Welcome to our website, which we are trying to make more useful and interactive, especially through new initiatives like an interactive forum. We continue to have our regular e-newsletter, CAPENEWS, now in its 15th year.

We concluded successfully our first biennial meeting, ISPAE 2009 and the first pediatric endocrine training workshop, ISPAE-PET 2009, in New Delhi in November 2009. PET was an innovation for India, and much appreciated. ISPAE 2011 and ISPAE-PET 2011 will be in Calicut, Kerala, in November. January 2012 brings a Pre-Conference Workshop and our Chapter Symposium during the annual IAP meeting (PEDICON 2012) in Gurgaon. Our other educational initiatives include a Travel Fellowship and Guidelines for Diabetes in Children.
